App Review information: demo accounts and notes that prevent delays

Apple review notes are not visible to customers, but they help reviewers reach the right flows without guessing.

App Review information is not visible to customers, but it can decide whether review goes smoothly. Treat it like handoff notes for someone testing the app with no team context.

What Apple asks for

Apple's platform version reference lists contact name, email, and phone fields, plus review notes. If sign-in is required, you provide a demo account username and password.

What belongs in notes

  • Test account details and role permissions.
  • Feature flags or setup steps needed to reach paid features.
  • Test stream URLs for streaming video apps.
  • Anything that looks broken unless a reviewer knows the scenario.

Demo account rule

The demo account should not expire during review. If your app uses SSO, include the account information and any special instructions in the review notes.

Source notes

Apple documents App Review information under platform version information and states that it is not visible to customers.
